Training manual for EIU and ESD
The ESD team at UNU-IAS has collaborated with the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), under the auspices of UNESCO, in delivering teacher training workshops to teachers, teacher educators and trainers of formal or non-formal education in the Asia-Pacific region.

As an integral part of institutional collaboration between UNU-IAS and APCEIU, the UNU-IAS team has developed teacher training modules on Teacher Training for Learning to Live Together: A Training Manual for EIU and ESD. This manual was conceived in the hope of creating synergies between ESD and EIU (Education for International Understanding) and further enhancing the transformative educational initiatives.

The modules developed by the UNU-IAS team covers the topics of climate change, water crisis and governance, traditional knowledge, biodiversity and sustainable production and consumption.

The manual targets teacher educators and trainers primarily, but can also inspire school teachers who wish to study on their own and adopt materials for primary and secondary school students.
