You should consider including the following in your Research Proposal:

1. A brief background of the issue you want to address including its importance, prior work done on this issue, and the challenges remaining.
2. The general objective of your proposed research at UNU-IAS/UNU-ISP.
3. The specific tasks you suggest to complete to carry out your research.
4. The methodology and tools you plan to use.
5. An outline of the data you require and its availability.
6. Proposed output/outcome of your research and where in the international policy process these maybe helpful.
